Yikes. From the look of things, it kinda seems like the writers may have fucked themselves over a bit.
As a result of studio cutbacks, however, many of the writers who went on strike are unlikely to return to the same big-money contracts they'd had as individuals with the studios, Eisner said
From what I can see, the writers were given another proposal similar to the DGA one, but there was a clause - something about keeping up with the industry and its changes, and that was the difference. So I think, again, from what I see, that it's over. They're supposed to vote on it Saturday.
But I'm not positive on any of this. I'll keep looking to see if I can find out more.
There's a list on TV Guide of when each show is scheduled to return, and House has "TBD" next to it. Which scares me a little. Most of the other shows on the list are coming back around March/April. Chuck isn't coming back until fall. IF THAT HAPPENS TO HOUSE, I WILL KILL A BITCH.
I think the demand for new episodes is high enough that we won't have to worry about waiting until the Fall -- especially after the record-setting ratings the show pulled down after the Super Bowl. Fox can't afford to shove the show off until the Fall. It's, like, their second-highest rated show.
It was the highest-rated Super Bowl in broadcast history, from what I heard. It would follow that at least 70-80% of those viewers tuned in to the post-Bowl programming.
No way! Are you to mean that that might be the end of the season House? Oh come on, give us like two or three episodes, I would be happy with two or three episodes. But to think that we would have to go seven months without an episode *speechless*
