So Todd and I have balcony seats for Ryan Adams on the 24th of October. It was funny. I only heard about the concert yesterday (Todd had set his phone alarm way back in May to remind himself, but he forgot about it/his phone exploded/his alarm was shunted by one that reminded him to watch Mythbusters) because a co-worker of mine, who's also a fan, practically attacked me when I walked in the front door in the morning. He'd heard about it the day before -- the Tuesday I was sick -- and wanted to know if I was down.

Verily, I was.

Presale started at ten o'clock this morning and my co-worker and I kept refreshing our browsers every five seconds until the online buying console went live. We used a super secret government password (provided by a super secret government source) that we had to screw around with case sensitivity to get to work. FINALLY, after what seemed like a Clancy-esque series of failed attempts, we scored four tickets. I don't know if we're necessarily carpooling down there together (Co-Worker has a fiancee he's taking) but it might be worth it if we can score overnight accommodations (Co-Worker's fiancee has the domestic hook-up) because the concert'll let out late and yeah, getting home at three in the morning only to wake up at 6:30 for work. Voted Most Likely To Thhbbbt.

'Got the new Dave Matthews when I was at Starbucks today. Live albums just have a certain somethin'-somethin' to them, don't you think?

Still thinking about graduate school. Still thinking about getting up early on Tuesday to get the House DVDs before work. Still thinking about picnics, pre-emptive strikes against puffery, fornication, flight school, new nail polish, Darwinism, nihilism, botulism, television, extridation, sleeve biting, up-all-nighting.

And, of course, two pieces of warm toast with a little peanut butter.

They are much better live than on their regular albums. They take the songs places live that are just amazing.

Dave and Tim that is a different level of heaven

I admit it: I bought it for "Some Devil". I bought the Live Trax disc for my boyfriend -- totally went to Stabucks on a goodwill mission to get it, too -- but I saw the "Live At Radio City" CD sitting with it on the kiosk and decided to get it for myself.

"When The World Ends" is almost happy-sounding.

He had a Hugh story? About filming "Half Wit"?

Let the story live on, friend. Tell me. I'll pay it forward.

It''s right after he does Out of My Hands (when Dave plays piano)

He talked about how wonderful Hugh was and that when they were filming the scene with House doing the test on Patrick with the bad words, Dave's stomach was growling. And he said that Hugh was such a professional that he timed his lines between the growls.

So they are doing this scene together and then all of a sudden they hear this loud snore. One of the camera guys fell asleep on the microphone and they jumped.

Dave: Well it wasn't my stomach.

It's terrible that my love for Dave Matthews was reawakened by that episode, isn't it? Bless them both. That makes me happy. Thanks for sharing!

Hearing someone play the piano. It's just...it's one of those things that can make me stop where I'm standing and want to lie down, gentle as a learning lamb, so I can listen. I completely lose my senses. That episode? Was like that for me.

If I was ever on Actor's Studio and they asked me what my favorite sound was...it would be a piano playing

I would have to agree.

What'd your favourite curse word be?

I think it's the most versatile of all the blue words: noun, verb, adjective, modifier. Fuck crosses all racial and religious boundries; it unites people under the umbrella cause of "really good cursing".

it's multi-functional...it can be used in so many situations
