Does anyone else remember that (short-lived) TV show, Eerie, Indiana? What the sodding hell was that thing about, anyway? I believe it was an Are You Afraid of the Dark-esque program than ran at, like, five AM on Saturdays. You know, when us 80s progeny had just gotten up to eat our sugar-crusted breakfasts.

I remember having so many crackpot ideas when I was a kid. For instance, I thought my bike was a horse. Really. I'm not talking about just nurturing a fantasy here; I'm talking about "shoving carrots into the wheel spokes" crazy.

I also remember being excited that Regan got re-elected.

Thank god I've grown up since then.

I remember that show. It played before or after Goosebumps, I think. I don't remember a single episode. ~~;

Ahhh, nostalgia.

Dude! Eerie, Indiana! That was greatness! It was like... Goosebumps... or... Twilight Zone for Kids!

Totally remember loving the first Bush to death.

But I completely understand. Until the age of 10 running around on the playground during recess ALL BY MYSELF with my arms spread out and creating whole communities of Pegasi. Literally, I wish I could remember them all, but now all I can remember is that I went through about 50 of them, in detail, with their own personalities and about 4 generations.... Kids are nutzoid. Can't wait to have 'em.

I just saw that show just a few months ago, with its 80 year old host, dressed up like a scary monster (who wanted his applesauce because he has trouble chewing). At the end of the show, he lied down in a coffin. I swear, he didn't get out of that thing. That was probably his last show before they lowered him in the ground and threw dirt on him.

I totally remember Eerie, Indiana. I actually remember quite a few things from it:

- Elvis picking up his paper in the opening sequence

- The episode where the main kid and his brother refused to "lose their hour" during a time change, since Eerie doesn't do the time change, and then they got stuck in an alternate dimension cause they stayed up an extra hour.

- The episode with these two twin boys who didn't age because their mom sealed them in twin-bed sized Tupperware every night.

- The episode where it was Halloween and the characters of old horror movies came out of the TV and were chasing them around the house.

- The episode where this girl drew really well, and the main guy suggested she start signing her work, and then whenever she'd sign it, the pictures would become real. For instance, she drew a bike, and it appeared outside.

- The main kid was, I think, the main kid in Hocus Pocus.

Man, I wish that show was on DVD or something. I loved watching that. For the record, I think it aired way before Goosebumps ever did, but I could be wrong.

Also, don't feel bad about the carrots in the spokes. I used to do stupid shit like walk around the mall reading a book (while almost hitting many people), cause I thought I was Belle from Beauty and the Beast. And even now I sometimes randomly pretend I'm English or Australian while at Target or Best Buy. ;p

Aren't we all just the coolest? :D
