Because I have not completely forgiven him for "One Day, One Room"

As a writer myself, I have to say that I'm completely in support of the writers' strike. I believe that all artists -- whether or not their medium is music, paint, or the printed word -- deserve to be recognized for their efforts and deserve to have those efforts rewarded.

That being said, I just looked at the strike list, scrolled down to the House entry, and saw that David Shore was the only writer listed. What the fuck, David Shore? How many episodes did you write last year? One? Maybe? I'm sorry. You don't need any more money. Pawn the Emmy you won for "Three Stories" if you're strapped for cash.

Okay, so David Shore is the "showrunner", who speaks for all of the writers on the set. I get that. Still. Couldn't they have picked someone a little better? I'm a Doris Egan fangirl. DORIS. CALL ME -- WE'LL FIGHT THE POWER TOGETHER.

This is the 2,000th post in this journal! It was six years ago in March that I started blogging -- first as celticrose, then as katernater (not sure if it was a trade up or a trade off) -- and making some of the finest acquaintances that it's been my good fortune to know. Friendships have come and gone, fandoms have waxed and waned, and I've been more pretentious in more posts than I can count (if I had to give a rough number, I'd say it's about 2,000 out of 2,000). But it's all been fantastic, and it's because of people like you that I'm still around.
