My productivity is a lot like my wireless internet connection. In that it never works when I want it to, and that it's often waylaid by pornography. I'll be halfway through a project -- for instance, filling out the online forms for my federal student loans -- before I'm distracted by at least sixteen different trains of thought, each of which requires some form of immediate investigation and follow-up. For instance, as I was typing that last sentence? I was simultaneously thinking the following:

- Has Billy Zane done any quality movie since Memphis Belle?
- What would I look like as a blonde?
- What would Billy Zane look like as a blonde?
- Do Elvis Costello and Diana Krall share an iPod?
- What would happen if Todd and I had to share an iPod?
- Would I get more respect in Europe if I was a blonde?
- I think my iPod could take Todd's iPod in a fight

I did finish filing for financial aid. It just took me a couple of hours. And I've also been considering a nap for the last three hours, but now it's getting to that sticky point in the day where you end up having to forfeit any hope of napping because it's too close to bedtime. It's nap limbo.

I've got to go do something productive.

Like watch television.

Television sounds productive. I'm going to watch the 'Files myself with my government text book open in front of me, so it appears I'm getting something done. Stealthy? Sure, I think so.

However, the iPod fighting has me curious. What advantages does yours have over Todd's? Besides the obvious things I'd already know of course.

I 'lol'd at your list.

And you should ask Misha the first one... she can probably tell you. ;)

However - as a perpetual multi-tasker and someone who mostly likely has mild-ADD (tho has never had a formal diagnosis) - I totally know where you're coming from. It takes eleven amounts of forced focus to finish things.

Typing comments to posts *usually* gets done, but I've been in RP and typed up most of a reply, then switched tabs or changed windows, then spent 5 mins going 'WTF? Why hasn't X replied?' only to find out - I never hit 'submit'... *headdesk*

I live in Europe. I've been both blonde and not blonde. I can't say I noticed any difference at all in the level of respect recieved.

What would Elvis Costello look like as a blonde?

Tombstone. Titanic is your call. He wasn't anything special in it, though I've heard the movie was a moderate success. ;) And I don't remember him, as it's been years, but he was in Orlando, which was delicious. But yeah, most of his career has been of the Bloodrayne calibre. *shudder*

Also, he did an ep of "Boston Public" where he sings "A Time For Us". It was quite adorable and I still think of it on occasion.

Yes. I have answered your question seriously. These things happen.
