Todd and I are going to Indianapolis to see KT Tunstall tonight. I plan on ordering at least one glass of whiskey. 'Probably inadvisable, because I still have to work tomorrow morning and we're doing this whole 'What does the company mean to you' team-building seminar in the afternoon, which means that it would be virtually impossible for me to beg off due to whiskey-related injury. Pah! I say. Pah! I'm going to get my musical jollies in the Not-So-Big City tonight and if that means I have to wear a pair of dark glasses while we build a tower of office furniture, so be it.
There are so many things that I could say about "House's Head"/"Wilson's Heart", but all the metaphors have been done to death (or to "light trauma" at the very least) and I'm not nearly as articulate as the people on my friends list when it comes to reviews (I also have the emotional memory of a goldfish: I forget how I'm feeling right after I have the feeling) so, what you guys felt? I felt, too. Cubed.
SO MANY PHONE CALLS TODAY. DAMN.
I know some people were still looking for it, so here's the acoustic version of "Teardrop" from this week's episode.
In addition, here is a Jamie Cullum song that makes me happy in my lower register.
After reading the palava on
tonypepper, I'm half tempted to write my own Iron Man fanfiction, even though the character of Pepper Potts is as bland as a manila envelope and her irrational devotion to a substance-abusing, skirt-chasing, genius/egomaniac borders on the profane. (Oh. Wait.)
Who dares me to write my 1,000 word (minimum) prompt for
hmd_rareathon in dialogue format only? CHALLENGING, NO? LOSES ITS APPEAL QUICKLY, YES?
Obviously, I need to find more constructive hobbies to occupy my time.
