Human curiosity is just insatiable.

There's a whole fleet of cars parked across the street -- including an ambulance and an Animal Care & Control van -- and a team of people prowling around the perimeter of that house with flashlights, shining them into dark windows. I'm dying to know what it's all about. I like our across-the-street neighbors: the fellow who owns the house is a "hired arm" at a strip club here in town. It's fun to watch him polish and spitshine his motorcycle in the driveway -- especially when the retired couple next door is outside at the same time, trying to keep their lawn from spreading over into his.

Suburbia is just its own little microcosm of the larger world. WITH LAWN WARS.

That's like when you rubberneck on teh driveway. YOu don't want to do it, but it's a total and complete compulsion. Plus, the buildup to seeing the actual wreck is always interesting, because afterwards you feel guilty. It's like bad breakup sex. :)

They were there until about two o'clock in the morning. When I left for work, there was a sign posted just beside the door. I want to go back home on my lunch break and investigate.
