Todd and I had a great time at the monster truck rally last night! Neither of us had ever been to a rally before, so we weren't sure what to expect. What we got was two hours of motocross freestyling, ATV races, and -- of course -- trucks that were desperately trying to compensate for something. I decided not to spam you with pictures of the event itself (most of my shots came out blurry anyway), so here's a collage of the highlights:

But the best -- the BEST -- part of the night happened when we walked into the expo hall at the very beginning. The local Honda motorcycle dealer had a booth set up off to one side and they had a 2008 Honda CBR 1000RR model sitting out on the floor. Todd saw it before I did and he pointed it out, very casual-like, and asked "...So do you want to look at the motorcycles?" At that point, I was pretty sure that I could have knocked a pregnant lady down in my eagerness to look at the motorcycles. The guy running the booth was awesome, and he let Todd and me sit on the bike, pretending that we could afford it:

You guys, it was AWESOME.
And, yes, I bought a hat, like I said I would. It's in a bag at the bottom of my closet, where it it will probably stay until I need something to wear on my head when I'm painting a ceiling.

Date: 2008-03-23 07:39 am (UTC)And you -- we need to catch up ("catch up", I hate when people say that; it sounds so trendy). I hate that every time you post/I post, my immediate reaction is "I've missed you!"
I want to know what's going on in your wide world. Dish, darling. Dish like a Cuddy matron.
