Years ago in Charlotte I remember there was a urologist named Dr. Hung Dong at a hospital. I kid you not. He wasn't the only Dong I'd ever heard of before. In high school in Oak Ridge there was a Chinese-American kid there when I was a junior, and his name was Dang Dong. (He went by "Trip".) Again, I kid not.
