I mean, I'm just saying. The whole world is tightening its sphincter for this book -- which is great, if you like tight sphincters -- and I'm just kind of "...So. Sandwiches and tea at the cantina?"
Oooh, it's got Rufus Thomas in it! And I really like Jim Jarmusch. Coffee And Cigarettes is one of my token favourite movies. I'll have to look into this. Thanks for the recommendation.
I will definitely not be living and breathing Harry Potter this weekend. No parties, midnight obsessing, or freaking out about being sure to get the very first copy ever, or something like that. I've got Cabinet to cuddle up with, and plenty of other fun purchases.
I understand that it's a big deal and I most certainly respect that a lot of people are worried/nervous/anxious about what is, in the end, a very well-crafted series of books and ideas. I know how frenzied I get about season finales of things, for example. But it seems like everyone is spazzing. I expect rioting before the weekend's out.
I completely, fully agree. I admit I read the books and like them, but I just never..got that into it. I mean, it will end how it ends and after the last pages life'll go on. I'm sure there are plenty of spinoff series already in the works - like with Star Wars.
You're right, though. There's a lot of LJ chaos, there and with the whole lj_biz entry thing. You heard about that, yes?
Well, I guess they have to get a spin on their wheel sometime. The whole of it's just really ridiculous. When did something this fun get this complicated?
Good lord, I wouldn't call it well-crafted. She's simply put stereotype on the back of stereotype, and the overall structure of the series is poor and indulgent with a lot of irrelevent detail.
