At some point (I would put it at approximately twenty minutes ago) I just decided to stop thinking and
start playing Blind Melon's cover of "Three Is A Magic Number" over and over again. In doing so, I have effectively plugged myself in the face with a shotgun blast of weird, peripheral thoughts and questions. Such as:
1. The nutritional information on the side of a box of Brown Sugar Cinnamon Pop-Tarts lists the total fat (per pastry) as 9.2g and 219 calories. Is this the nutritional content pre- or post-toasting? Wouldn't it be safe to assume that a certain amount of water is lost (via evaporation) during the toasting process and that some of those fat grams and calories would be lost in the conversion? So, really, is it better to eat a toasted Pop-Tart than an untoasted Pop-Tart if you're counting calories? Are there any chemistry majors on my FL who would be willing to do the math? Or, at the very least, let me borrow their goggles and Erlenmeyer flasks for some Serious Science? The Most Important Meal Of The Day thanks you.
2. "Triangle" may be one of my all-time favourite
X-Files episodes. After watching it last night, I almost think that I should go out and
buy a red dress and learn how to finger curl my hair for the upcoming cruise. Also. Sometimes, when I'm by myself, I'll
( act out this scene ) with all the voices. Except for Skinner's. Because I invariably laugh when he tries to demonstrate his authority and it's impossible for me to replicate his delivery:
WrappeduplockedupandtossedoutoftheFBI. Heh. It's so funny when Walter tries to do something, isn't it?
3. Uh. I guess that's it. It was only
two things I was thinking about: Pop-Tarts and
The X-Files. Huh. It's like I'm back in high school.
