I blame awesomesquared for this who, in turn, blamed me for the genesis of the Dark Underworld gender!swap meme, which was entirely the fault of some very good-looking actors who just happened to look like other good-looking actors. I was having some trouble responding to awesomesquared's prompt challenge of gender!swap Cate/Paul and Liv/James and so I turned to music, which usually has the power to inspire me to write -- or to at least splash things around the page. This was the result. It took a good deal of time to pare down and refine these song choices and I am particularly proud of how the mix turned out, so I would definitely appreciate any feedback or comments you'd care to give. I am especially in love with the instrumental pieces (Bear McCreary is a given, but I have recently discovered Lorne Balfe, whose score for the film Ironclad is not to be missed) and Peter Gabriel's cover of "My Body Is A Cage" -- there is an incredible power in this version that is simply not there in the original (which I assume is compliments of a full orchestral backing).
