katernaterI'm looking into graduate schools.
I mean really, seriously looking.
Not because I'm displeased or unhappy with my job or my lifestyle. On the contrary: both are going exceedingly well at the moment. But I've always known that I wanted to extend my education beyond a Bachelor's degree and now, being relatively young and in relatively good standing financially, I think I should make a jump for it. I think I'd like to go in for an M.A. in English, then on to my PhD.
Of course, by tomorrow I might have changed my mind about the whole thing and decided that becoming a longshoreman on a lobster boat in Maine is preferable to slumming my youth away in graduate school. Still. I don't have workman's hands. And I do love to read and write.
