LJ's sending out mass e-mails alerting users who have created/moderated community journals that they are, in fact, now considered "community owners" of said journals. I've been a member of LJ since 2001 (in fact, my tenth blogiversary is coming up in a couple of weeks), and in that time I've created no fewer than eight communities. A good percentage of them have been RP-related communities.

Does anyone remember [livejournal.com profile] spiderverse?

Or [livejournal.com profile] resurrex?

From the "game rules" of [livejournal.com profile] resurrex:
4. Finally -- most importantly -- have fun! Roleplaying is about distancing yourself from reality for a time and dabbling in the impossible. And, while it's a creative release, I cannot stress enough the fact that it's just a game. If you find yourself stressing out over certain plot situations or interactions with other members, I encourage you to take a break for a while. Lord knows that these things can get pretty intense, and emotions often run high. Our characters become like our children, and a blow to them seems like a blow to us. Though it's important to keep updated (and to post on relatively frequent basis), I don't want this thing to consume you. If you find yourself tearing out your hair by the roots one night, turn off the computer. It's okay. It'll be there in the morning, I promise. Take a bubble bath. Play some squash. Find a creative way to manage your stress. Then, when you're ready, come back with a clear head and open heart. If you feel the need to take some time off from the game, please let me know. I am more than willing to accomodate your request!

ROLEPLAYING IS VERY SRS BUSINESS, YOU GUISE.

EXCEPT WHEN IT'S NOT.
