Poets are really quite neat.
Most write to a quite simple beat.
Limericks are best.
They are really a test,
And writing them is not a small feat.

For some reason that's mostly the type of poetry I write,
if you want to call what I write poetry.
I sometimes write non-nonsensical, non-whimsical stuff,
but that's been a while since.
I haven't been moved so in a goodly while,
alas.
However, I rarely read poetry.
Yeats, Wordsworth and the rest of the the Romantics,
They're my read when I'm in the mood.
