Speaking of mercy, mercy isn't something that my immune system believes in, apparently. I spiked a fever Thursday night and spent most of Friday in bed. 'Felt better yesterday, only to have the flu bug come back with a vengeance today. I've been downing my quart of OJ as if it's life-giving manna; my head's still fuzzy from the cold meds. But, it seems, I'm not alone. All of you seem to have come down with the exact same malady. What a way to break in the new year, eh?
Ugh. I still haven't finished Death and Dying. Kubler-Ross is a downer. Dying is stupid; nobody should have to do it. Stupid NEWS385 -- why couldn't our documentary topic have been comic books instead of grief and loss? I would not have a problem reading X-Men back issues.
I'm angsty and short-tempered today. You've been warned.

I do, however, love talking to my family. I'm blessed to have such loving, compassionate, and concerned parents. I'm glad that I'm going home next week -- although a week seems like a long time to wait.
